For the 5th year in a row we've been named a Best Glamping Spot in the United States, by USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice Travel Award. Come and see what sets us apart. Situated on over 75+ acres, providing a stunning natural backdrop for your stay. We are located along a mile of Sandy Creek shoreline, ultimately winding its way into beautiful Lake Martin, Alabama. We’re your hosts, Skip & Rhonda Courtney and we can’t wait to welcome you to this unique Safari Tent glamping experience. Glamping is Glamorous Camping and whether your ideal vacation getaway includes days of relaxation, or one jam packed with activities it’s all here for you. Accommodations include two 2-bedroom glamps that sleep 6 and two, 1- bedroom glamps to accommodate up to 4 guests. All Glamps are climate controlled with cool A/C in the summer and heat for fall or winter. Each Glamp has a private deck with room for lounging, dining and of course a relaxing soak in a private hot tub. The Sandy Creek Lodge, our home, is also the hub of The Destination Glamping Resort. The Lodge can also accommodate family reunions, corporate retreats, birthdays, or other celebrations. Let us help you plan your event and make memories to last a lifetime. The Southwind Stage is the newest addition to the resort and hosts top talent from Nashville and beyond as well as hosting community events throughout the year. Glamping is the most unique way to enjoy game weekends. Book a glamp for home or away games and tailgate on your large deck with living and dining space, a big gas grill and Hot tub. There are room for games like cornhole or washer toss & celebrate a win with a float in Sandy Creek.
Weekend Highlights
Safari Tent Glamps: Spacious, beautifully furnished tents nestled beside Sandy Creek—each one offering comfort, and amenities like Hot Tubs, Gas Grills & Fire Tables on each deck.
Activities : The Resort features lots of amenities too like Kayaks, Canoes, paddles, fishing & float gear; all included in your stay. Of course there are lots of opportunity to do absolutely nothing at all if that's what you'd prefer
Getting to and from Jordan Hare Stadium: We're about 20 minutes from the Auburn Campus. If you and your group have tickets to the game and don't wanna drive and pay to park we recommend reaching out to Lance at The Ultimate Ride to book your game day shuttle in his 12 passenger party bus. This is a separate cost from your glamping reservation and will be determined based on availability & the number of guests. Ask Skip when booking your gameday weekend for The Ultimate Rides contact. We recommend booking early as both glamping and shuttles fill up fast.
